Art Excursions offers a variety of private tours of special exhibitions, museums, architecture and public sculpture. All tours are led personally by either Jeff Mishur or Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur, both of whom are native to the Chicago area.


These tours are designed for those who appreciate the personal attention of an expert who has designed a tour specifically to their needs and pace as opposed to joining an ad hoc group of tourists led by a docent with a memorized script. Private group tours are also available.

Case study I

For The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, Jeff Mishur provided a private highlights tour of Millennium Park for a VIP.


Case study II

For a husband and wife and their two children from Australia, Jeff Mishur provided a family-oriented Chicago public sculpture walking tour.


Case study III

As a birthday gift for their mother, two sisters from Ohio arranged for Jeff Mishur to provide the three of them with a private highlights tour of The Modern Wing at The Art Institute of Chicago.


Case study IV

A couple from San Francisco reserved Jeff Mishur as their personal guide on an hourly basis for five days. Jeff also planned and arranged their itinerary which included museums, architecture and other highlights in the Chicago area.


Case study V

For a girlfriends getaway in Chicago, Jeff Mishur provided a private guided tour at The Museum of Contemporary Art followed by a private highlights tour of The Art Institute of Chicago with a narrated walk between the two venues.


Case study VI

Four friends from different cities arranged to meet in Chicago and contracted with Jeff Mishur to provide them with a walking tour of architecture in Chicago’s “Loop” district followed by a walking architecture tour along the Chicago River (with lunch in between).
